This was on my reading list for a Deaf people in society module, this book is very interesting with varied perspectives on deafness, a range of experiences of being D/deaf and being labelled are disabled and breaking society's norms. Would recommend to cultural studies students, sign language students, interpreters and teachers.
Had to read it for my Deaf Culture class at Uni, very informative, gives you very varied information about being deaf/Deaf.
The book explores the troubles of education, hearing teachers, being labeled as disabled and many more subjects.
